Privacy Policy

This policy explains what we collect when you use LockMSP, why, and what we do with it.
What we collect
- Account details: name, email, company, and billing contact details.
- Platform data: the information you and your agents send us, including device inventory and metrics, backups, documentation, tickets, and credentials stored in the vault.
- Usage and security logs: sign-ins, IP addresses, and an audit trail of actions taken in the platform.
- Visits to this website: which pages were opened, how long each was visible, whether the browser is a phone, tablet or desktop and which operating system family it runs, the timezone the browser reports, whether the browser says it has visited before, and which site or campaign link brought you here. See below for what this deliberately leaves out.
Website analytics
This marketing site counts page views so we can see whether anyone is reading it. It is our own counter, running on our own servers. There is no third-party analytics or advertising script on this site, and nothing about your visit is shared with anyone.
We record the page path, how long the page was visible, a phone/tablet/desktop label and an operating-system label (Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, Linux or ChromeOS), the timezone your browser reports (for example "Australia/Brisbane"), and the host of the site that linked you to us (for example "google.com") along with any campaign tag in the link. We do not record your IP address, your browser's user-agent string, the full referring address, or anything you type. The timezone is our only sense of where visitors are: it comes from your browser's own clock settings, not from looking up your address on the network.
No cookie is set. Page views in one browsing session are tied together by a random id held in your browser's session storage, which your browser discards when you close the tab. To count returning visitors, your browser keeps a marker in its local storage that never leaves your device: the beacon reports only the yes/no fact that the marker already existed, so we can say how many of a day's visitors had been here before but never recognise which visitor any of them is, and nothing can follow you to any other site. Clearing your browser's site data removes the marker. Records are deleted after 400 days.
If your browser sends a "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signal, this site records nothing at all.
How we use it
To run the platform, support you, bill you, keep the service secure, and meet legal obligations. We don't sell your data or your customers' data, and we don't use it to train third-party AI models.
Where it lives
Platform data is hosted on Amazon Web Services in the Asia Pacific (Sydney) region. Credentials stored in the vault are encrypted; backups are encrypted at rest, and can be directed to your own storage instead of ours if you prefer.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers we need to run the platform: cloud hosting, payment processing, email delivery, and error monitoring. Each handles data on our instructions. We may disclose data if required by law.
Your customers' data
Where you use LockMSP to manage your own customers, you are the controller of that data and we process it on your behalf under these terms. You're responsible for having the right to collect and process it.
Retention
We keep account and billing records for as long as legally required. Platform data is kept for as long as your account is active, and deleted within a reasonable period after closure unless the law requires us to keep it. Backups age out on the retention settings you choose.
Security
We use encryption in transit and at rest, tenant isolation, access controls, multi-factor authentication, and audit logging. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach affects your data we'll notify you as required under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your personal information, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@lockmsp.com and we'll respond within a reasonable time.
Cookies
The app uses cookies that are necessary to keep you signed in and secure. We don't use advertising cookies. This marketing site sets no cookies at all.
Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be notified in the platform or by email.

We acknowledge every complaint within 5 business days and give you a written answer within 30 days. If we need longer we will tell you why and agree a new date with you. Our answer explains what we found, what we have done about it, and what you can do next if you are not satisfied. Complaints are handled by our privacy officer, who is not the person whose handling of your data you are complaining about.
